Access Youth Class of 2025
Hello my name is Karen S. and I am a sophomore at the Preuss School of UCSD. I like to spend time with my friends and family, play with my dog Nuggs, and be outdoors. My favorite subject in school is math and I hope to become an elementary school math teacher. I enjoy helping others around me and I would love to work with inner-city youth. Access Youth Academy helps me with my academics that will also help me get into a 4-year college, hopefully San Diego State University, where I can also get a degree in Mathematics.
Hi, my name is Jose P. and I attend The Preuss School UCSD. I am fifteen years old and I am in the tenth grade. When I am not in school, I enjoy fishing and playing squash. The largest fish I have ever caught was about 3-feet long! Fishing can be relaxing and helps you escape from the stress of school. I also enjoy playing squash, even though I’m not very good at it. In the future, I plan to attend UCSD and pursue a career in law enforcement.
Hi my name is Ana P. and I am in the Class of 2025. I attend The Preuss School UCSD. I consider myself a bookworm and I also enjoy writing. Writing allows me to express my thinking and imagination. I am a athletic person and enjoys learning new sport and new things. My future plans are to attend and graduate from a four-year university.
Hello, I’m Sharon! I’m a sophomore at The Preuss School UCSD and this is currently my third year in Access. Since joining this program, playing squash has become one of my main hobbies and it has also helped me to become a successful student. I think that joining this amazing program was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made because of how much it has helped me in and outside of school. In the future, I hope to become an engineer but until then, I’m hoping that this program continues to grow and help other students.
Hey! My name is Lynh. I am currently a 10th grader at The Preuss School UCSD. This is my fourth year in Access. On my free time, when I’m not training for squash, I enjoy practicing calligraphy and playing the cello. My interests are traveling and photography. The clubs I participate in at school are: Cross-Country, Chelsea’s Light, and Poetry Club. I aspire to go to Harvard University and major in psychology. What attracts me the most about Harvard is their squash team, I believe that college squash will be my stepping stone to help reach my ultimate goal: to play squash professionally.
