bringing our success to scale
We plan to take our program to scale in the City Heights community of San Diego, California, a community facing significant challenges. By embracing City Heights, we are establishing ourselves in a community with a high poverty rate and youth that are often affected by gangs, alcohol, drugs and domestic violence.
We will be opening a two-story, nine-court squash and learning facility in 2016. This facility will be a unique asset, available to all members of the community during evenings and weekends. We will enroll 25 students per class (a total of 150 students per year) in an in-depth experience focused on our four pillars: Academic Achievement, Health and Wellness, Leadership and Social Responsibility. In addition to the students chosen to complete our program, squash will be available to countless students each year through incorporation into their existing physical education programs.
